[1949]. Fine in a Very Good+ dustjacket. Bound in full tan cloth. Both the spine and the decorative front panel are stamped in brown and green. Octavo. Green topstain. 170pps. Stated First Printing (albeit, second-state, with Joshua Logan's name having been removed from the copyright page). An excellent collector's-quality copy: clean, tight, square, and bright. The textblock is immaculate; no previous ownership markings. The colorful dustjacket, glossy in a new mylar sleeve, has a faintly sunned spine-panel (with fading to the light-sensitive title) and shallow chipping at the spine-ends; the original price (2.50) is intact. Adapted from James A Michener's Pulitzer Prize-winning 'Tales of the South Pacific,' published two years prior, in 1947.
