1 MacLeish, Archibald Tower Of Ivory
New Haven, Connecticut Yale University Press 1917 First Edition Hard Cover
In Very Good condition, bound in the publisher's gray boards. Paper labels affixed to both the front and the spine panels. 71pps. First printing: November, 1917. There is rubbing wear to the tips and the spine-ends and the spine-label is sun-darkened and has touches of wear (still legible). Internally, there is minor foxing and browning; most of this is in the area of the endpapers. Also, there is some slight revelation of the webbing at the front hinge; the hinge is, nonetheless, strong with the endpapers over the hinge still three-quarters closed. The text is, overall, quite clean and the binding is tight. No previous ownership markings. Having gone into some detail with the mentioned flaws, this is -- be assured -- a nice copy. After 'Songs For A Summer Day', the author's first regularly published book -- and one of only 750 copies printed. Purchase with confidence: all books, gradings, and descriptions are rendered the care of a genuine bibliophile. Satisfaction guaranteed or all costs you've incurred will be promptly refunded.
