The spine is stamped in purple and yellow; the decorative front panel in the same. Octavo. 214pps. Stated First Printing. A previous owner's name is neatly penned on the ffep., otherwise Fine: clean, tight, square and bright. All tips are sharp. No apparent reading wear. The dustjacket, glossy in a new mylar sleeve, is sunned at the spine and the folds and has faint touches of crinkling at the top of each flap; no chips, no tears. The original price (3.75) is intact. A very nice, collector's-quality copy of Malamud's first book of short stories.
