1 Cabell, James Branch Quiet, Please
Florida University of Florida Press 1952 First Edition SIGNED
Fine in a Very Good+ dustjacket. Fully bound in beige cloth. The spine is stamped in black. 105pps. There is a mild bump to the heel of the spine, otherwise clean, tight, square, and bright. All tips are sharp. No reading wear or previous owner's markings. The dustjacket, glossy in a mylar sleeve, is sunned and toned and has a 1/4" closed tear at the top of the rear panel; no chips or other tears. The original price is intact on the front flap. SIGNED by the book's stated designer, H. S. Haines, with an inscription to her sister.

"...Cabell, the great iconoclastic author of contemporary Virginia, displays a fine fastidiousness of feeling in these charming and witty tales of the loves of Virginia gentlemen and gentlewomen of two generations ago..."
