1 Howard, Robert E. The Vultures
Georgia Fictioneer Books, Limited 1973 0877071152 / 9780877071150 First Edition, First Printing Hard Cover Fabian, Stephen E.
Fine in a Near Fine dustjacket. Black leatherette. Both the spine and the decorative front board are stamped in gold. Russet endpapers. Octavo. 190pps., plus several pages of illustrations by Fabian. An excellent, collector's-quality copy: clean, tight, square, and bright. All tips are sharp. No apparent reading wear and no previous ownership markings. The dustjacket, glossy in a mylar sleeve, is very lightly rubbed at the extremities; the white rear panel has a couple of small and unobtrusive marks. The original price (5.95) is intact. This volume includes two short novels: 'The Vultures' and 'Showdown At Hell's Canyon', with the latter being the first time in print. ".The tales themselves are distinctly Howardian -- filled with action and laced with melancholy overtones. Most famed for his creation of Conan the Barbarian, Robert E. Howard was a writer for the pulp adventure magazines of the 1920s and 30s; in recent years his popularity has continued to expand, in common with other American fictioneers of that period." Purchase with confidence: all books, gradings, and descriptions are rendered the care of a genuine bibliophile. Satisfaction guaranteed or all costs you've incurred will be promptly refunded.
