1 Robertson, William (Principal of the University of Edinburgh) The History of Scotland, and An Historical Disquisition Concerning Ancient India
Francfort O. M. 1828 Hard Cover
In Very Good condition. Green and black marbled boards quarterbound in green cloth. The spine is stamped in black and gilt (still brilliant). Decorative multi-color staining to all the page-edges. 695pps. There is rubbing wear to the board-edges and scratchings to the marbled boards themselves. A split of about 1/4" is at the bottom of the front joint. Internally, there is a bit of waviness to the pages and a moderate -- but not undue -- amount of foxing, which is confined primarily to the margins. The binding is slightly shaken, though sound, with all pages intact. Other than the faint foxing, the text is clean and bright with no previous ownership markings. Includes 'An Essay on The Life And Writings of William Robertson, D. D.', 'Extracts from Dr. Robertson's Correspondence', and prefaces to the first and eleventh editions. Purchase with confidence: all books, gradings, and descriptions are rendered the care of a genuine bibliophile. Satisfaction guaranteed or all costs you've incurred will be promptly refunded.
