[1928]. In Good+ condition. Bound in full violet cloth. The spine is stamped in slate-blue; the decorative front panel, also stamped in slate-blue, has a full-color pastedown label in its center. Octavo. Full-color pictorial endpapers. [x] + 307pps., with numerous illustrations by Lofting. No dustjacket. There is light rubbing wear to the tips and the spine-ends, light touches of soiling in the margins of some pages, and the rear hinge is started (with the webbing disclosed), though stable. The binding is othewise sound with all pages intact. No previous ownership markings. A nice copy of this children's classic.
