In Good condition with a new facsimile dustjacket. White and black cloth. Both the spine and the decorative front panel are stamped in gilt. Octavo. Brick-red endpapers. 446pps. First printing: no subsequent printings noted. There are touches of discoloration and soiling to the white cloth and some flecking to the gilt of the spine. Also, a previous owner's name and address are penned on the ffep and the closed fore-edge has a modest bit of foxing. The text, overall, is quite clean and the binding is slightly shaken, though sound, with all pages intact. A decent if somewhat dingy copy of the classic novel -- inspiration, of course, for the film. For added shelf-presence, this item includes a new facsimile dustjacket in a mylar sleeve.
